Equipments and Quality Control


NANTEC’s quality target is required as followings :


Under the Statistical Process Control

The value of Process Capacity should reach to the range of 1.33 ~ 1.66.

The value of Performance Index should be over 1.33 ( Cpk > 1.33 )

The value of Process Capability Index should be less than 25% ( Ca < 25% )

The value of Confidence Level should be within ±3σ.

 

The Process & Measure of Inspection For LED Products

LED industry pays much attention in picking, testing for raw materials.  Also there must be good control for the original source of their parts and materials. So that we could produce the products of LED well.



1. IQC( Incoming Quality Control)


It means the quality control for incoming materials. Because there may be some defective or inferior ones mixed in any batch of incoming materials, and they will destroy or harm the quality of finished products, even they are made by any excellent production skills.

So that it is the pressing and instant job for each manufacturer who would provide the LED products of good quality. The fact is only the good incoming materials and parts may produce the superior finished products.   


1.1. The incoming materials inspection: It includes 3 aspects as below.


1.1.1. Stock inspection:
To examine the model names, specifications, model no.s and quantities... etc of materials and parts in the warehouse, in order to be aware if they are consistent with the records or not.
The procedure is accomplished by the warehouseman generally.

1.1.2. Characters inspection:
To examine the physical and chemical characteristics of materials and parts, in order to be aware if theirs may reach to the request of specifications or not.  It is executed by the means of sampling usually.

1.1.3. Test inspection:

To make the mass production of small batch, in order to know the production result if it conforms to the requirements. 


1.2. The treatment to incoming materials and parts in out of standard.
 

1.2.1. Labeling:
To mark the sign of “reject” on the outer package and pile them in the area of “Reject Section”, or put on a board written in the word of “Reject Goods”.

1.2.2. Disposal:
The measures of returned purchase or change goods or picks specially.

1.2.3. Rectification:
To require the suppliers to present the temporary & permanent countermeasures, in order to prevent the defective materials coming again.


1.3. The urgent release:

As the urgent need for production, the materials have been adopted before their inspection report finished.  It is called the urgent release.
But this release should remain some samples for examination and mark the special sign on it and record all the details for tracking if necessary some other day.


1.4. Picks especially:

1.4.1. To purchase goods from the unqualified suppliers.
=> It should apply strict inspection for goods.

1.4.2. To adopt the unqualified materials.
=> It need to be used only after selected or repaired.


1.5. The loss of unqualified materials

They are discovered in the stage of input, the loss may cost one unit. But they are found in the stage of production, the loss may cost ten units ; But if they are known by the customers, the loss may cost more than 100 units. That is, we should find the defective materials as early as possible.




2. IPQC( InPut Process Quality Control )


It means the quality control of products during the input procedure to the final packing procedure.


2.1. It include the first inspection and the process inspection, as well as to mark the defective goods in the process and to record them.

2.2. Also it should be responsible for the tour inspection and the time inspection for the use of materials, the operation of equipments, the running of machine and environment compliance




3. OQC. ( Outgoing Quality Control )


The manufacturer should execute the output inspection according to the standard defined by the both contract or orders before the delivery of products. The OQC. means the quality control before delivery.Mainly, It checks up overall for the packing condition, cushion in box, products

identification, safety sign, accessory kits, use manual, characteristic inspection report and outer box mark of the delivering goods, in order to make sure the conformity with orders while the receipt of customers.

The treatment for the defects detected by OQC. will depend on its respective condition.It may be reworked or repaired and should arrange to be tested by the OQC. again.If it still can’t pass the OQC. it will be declared to abolishment or thought as down grade goods.

The detected items of OQC. are described as followings:

a. The packing inspection for finished products:
It have to examine if the package is firm and tight enough to meet the request of transportation.

b. The labeling inspection for finished products:
It have to examine if the lot no., shipping mark and labels on products is correct or not.

c. The appearance inspection for finished products:
It have to examine if the outline of products are break, scratched or split or not.

d. The characteristics inspection for finished products:
It have to examine if the functions of products are in good condition or not.

 
 


 

The Definition of IP for LED Lighting Device

 

The standards of humidity proof and poured resistance for LED applications are usually much more attentive. The IP( International Protection ) protection ranks system is drawn up by the IEC ( International Electrotechnical Commission ). It classifies the lighting devices by their condition of preventing the moisture and dust.

The IP protection ranks are combined by two digits.The first digit represents the prevention degree for invasion of dust or outside articles. And the second digit represents the prevention degree for the invasion of moisture.The more value of digits is the higher rank of its protection.

If the first digit of IP for LED lighting devices is shown:

means it is no protection:
There is not any prevention for outside.

means it may prevent the solid objects their diameters are bigger than 50 mm:
It is designed to avoid the palm of human or the larger articles to enter and touch the parts of device.

means it may prevent the solid objects their diameters are bigger than 12 mm:
It is designed to avoid the fingers of human or the medium articles to enter and touch the parts of device.

means it may prevent the solid objects their diameters are bigger than 2.5 mm:
It is designed to avoid the small tools or wires to enter and touch the parts of device.
 
means it may prevent the solid objects their diameters are bigger than 1.0 mm:
It is designed to avoid the smaller particles or wires to enter and touch the parts of device.

means it is particle proof:
As it can’t prevent the dust absolutely, but the entered dust will not affect the operation of device.
 
means it is dust proof:
It can prevent any dust from entering the inside of device.
 
 

If the second digit of IP for LED lighting devices is shown:

means it is no protection:
There is not any prevention for outside.

means it may prevent the dropping liquid:
The vertical dropping liquid will not enter the device.

means it may prevent the dropping liquid leaning less than 15° from vertical:
When the lighting device leans by 15° from vertical, the vertical dropping liquid will not enter the device.

means it may prevent the spraying liquid from invading:
It is designed to avoid the rain or the liquid sprayed by the angle less than 60° from vertical to enter the device.

means it may prevent the splattering liquid from invading:
It is designed to avoid the splattering liquid in all directions to enter the device.

means it may prevent the jetting liquid from invading:
It is designed to avoid the jetting liquid in all directions to enter the device.

means it may prevent the surges from invading:
Usually it is set up on the deck and may prevent the surges entering the device.

means it may prevent the invasion of water while it is dipped in the water:
It can prevent the water from entering the inside of device to damage, when it is dipped in the water in a period of time or a certain level pressure.

means it may prevent the invasion of water while it is sunk in the water:
It can prevent the water from entering the inside of device to damage, when it is sunk in the water in the endless time under a certain level pressure.
